Cambridge Secondary Education

IGCSE stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. It is a popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year-olds, equivalent to the GCSE in the UK. It offers a flexible curriculum, with over 70 subjects to choose from. It is recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide as evidence of academic ability.

This programme meets the global standards for a high-quality, comprehensive, and engaging education. By enrolling in the IGCSE programme, students gain the knowledge and skills they need to pursue further education and earn a respected international diploma.

Besides giving students international credentials, this programme also fosters their holistic psychological, emotional, and social growth. The IGCSE programme offers children the most extensive education in this region and a conducive environment for their complete development.

After finishing Year 11 and passing the Cambridge IGCSE programme, students receive Cambridge University’s International Certificate of Education (ICE) diploma and move on to the next stage – the Advanced Level or A Level. They must achieve a satisfactory grade in all seven subjects they took to obtain this prestigious diploma as a proof of the knowledge they learned for two years.

The ICE diploma enables students to continue their education in the advanced Cambridge A Level programme, either at International School or overseas. The ICE diploma is not only recognised by universities and employers worldwide as a sign of outstanding academic accomplishments, but it is also one of the criteria for applying to many universities.
